Why do you want to be a HOSA State Officer?

"There are many motivations behind my desire to become a HOSA State Officer. The first and arguably most profound reason is because of my wish to act as a source of support for those HOSA members who lack necessary information, have questions regarding their journey towards finding a passion for medicine, or even want to increase their involvement or understanding of HOSA as a whole. Part of the reason that HOSA is such a pivotal organization is because of the opportunities it provides students with to explore activities and values that are central to the same activities and values that are in the environment of a health professional. When students want to have these experiences but don't know how to obtain them, I believe it is the duty of a HOSA officer to help them in any way, shape, or form to find the answer to their question. A second reason I want to be a State Officer is because of the characteristic benefits I will gain as a result of holding the position that go hand in hand with helping fellow members. Being a state officer inevitably brings experiences that boost confidence, increase exposure to diverse activities and people, and allow for enjoyment to occur simultaneously with learning--another strong reason that exemplifies why I want to become a state officer. The final reason lies within my personal interest and passion for medicine. As I mentioned earlier, HOSA paves the way for opportunity for future health professionals; it will not only give me insight and knowledge about the journey towards medicine, but it will also open up pathways for me to explore the vast number of professions that exist within the healthcare industry."
